Brittany's CrossWinds in Tagaytay - where holidays are forever
Thursday, 20 December 2007 16:00

Atop Manila’s favorite weekend retreat is an enchanting place where it’s Christmas all year round. Wafting through the ornate gateway of Tagaytay’s highest residential enclave is the sweet aroma of pine – a most special scent that evokes memories of cozy evenings around a sparkling tree. Even without entering the property, it becomes immediately clear that Christmas in CrossWinds is a seriously happy affair.

Here, the yuletide cheer is not limited to once a year. Every single day, this 100-hectare property by maverick real estate developer and a member of the country’s largest home builder, Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc., Brittany Corporation celebrates the joys and wonders of Christmas. It is almost impossible to feel otherwise. Everything about CrossWinds is brimming with the spirit of the holidays.

Open all year

Recently, a quaint Christmas Store has opened its doors to CrossWinds’ residents and guests. This colorful little shop sells charming ornaments and little knick-knacks that are perfect for decorating one’s home during the holidays. Also available are themed plates and tea pots to add more color and cheer to the noche buena meal.

“CrossWinds is really the ideal place to celebrate Christmas! Everything about the property evokes that wonderful feeling when that time of the year rolls in. All your senses are opened up to this experience – the cool breeze, the Swiss-inspired chalets adorned with the season’s décor, the fiery red blooms against the lush greens, and of course, the pine scent that perfumes the air,” stated Vista Land president and CEO Jing Serrano.

A Swiss haven in Tagaytay

This unique mountain refuge situated 2,500 ft. above sea level is a masterfully planned community that brings to life the elegance and coziness of a Swiss village – from its architecture to the more than 20,000 pine trees all over the property. Inspired by the charms of the rustic architecture at the Alps, the semi-lumbered look of the façade, the street signs and the blooms that line pathways recreate the favored European destination complete with the sweet scent of pine.

About two hours from Makati, CrossWinds is accessible through either the Sta. Rosa or ABI SLEX toll exits or via the Aguinaldo Highway, passing through Silang Cavite. From Lipa, Batangas, CrossWinds can be reached through the STAR tollway, exiting at Sambat.

More offerings in store

This favored Tagaytay retreat, however, has more reasons to celebrate. The second phase of development has commenced, making CrossWinds a resplendent haven like no other. The development covers 100 hectares of prime property. With over 30 hectares of integrated development with a mix of single-detached homes, duettos, quadrilles, and mid-rise condos, it is the perfect hideaway for renewing, rejuvenating, and restoring both body and mind.
