Leandro V. Locsin (1928-1994) was a Filipino architect, artist, and interior designer, known for his use of concrete, floating volume and simplistic design in his various projects.
An avid collector, he was fond of modern painting and Chinese ceramics. He was proclaimed a National Artist of the Philippines for Architecture in 1990 by President Corazon C. Aquino. |

Organized in 1982, Charter Chemical & Coating Corporation began operations by establishing its first plant and office along Mercedes Avenue, San Miguel, Pasig City. The company started to manufacture and distribute decorative paints under its brand names DAVIES Premium Decorative Paints, Coat Saver Paints and EZ Coat Paints. In 1992, the second plant and office housing the Finished Goods Warehouse and Commercial Services Section was built.
In 1990, Charter Chemical was appointed by CHUGOKU MARINE PAINT, LTD., JAPAN, the world renowned and Japan’s No.1 marine paint company to distribute marine paints in the Philippines through company owned marketing arm MAINCOAT, INC. Later, Charter Chemical was licensed by CHUGOKU MARINE PAINT, LTD., to manufacture Chugoku Paints (1993) and to manufacture Heavy Duty Coatings (1996). |
