Piedra to build strong foundation in the Middle East

In the past, natural stones are considered an opulent addition in any building interior, exuding rich, organic, and timeless presence.

But with the recent advancement in equipment technology, replicas of these natural stones are enabling average homes experience the luxurious look and feel of natural stones, while grand projects now save millions of dollars from saving on materials, installation, and maintenance.

Thanks to companies like Piedra Systems, Inc., construction projects can now achieve elegant results in a cost efficient manner. Located in the province of Bulacan, Philippines, Piedra Systems, Inc. is a leading manufacturing company of stone veneers used both for building exterior and interior.

From the imperial wood stone of China to fine-textured Amherst of the USA, autumn black slate of India to cotta sandstone of Germany--think of stones unique in different countries and Piedra Systems, Inc. can make exact replicas of these natural stones.

The veneers are made of lightweight yet strong aggregate materials, cast in flexible molds, and hand-colored with iron oxide pigments which make each tile unique. Each piece is approximately one quarter the weight of full-thickness stone and could adhere to most wall surfaces, requires no footings, wall tiles or foundations, making it perfect for modern construction requirements.

Although Piedra Systems’ products are now carving its own niche in Japan market, the company now ventures to bring its line of stone veneers to a land renowned of its preference for opulent things, and considered as a melting pot of cultures—Dubai.

The company will join the eight-company delegation of the Philippines to the Big 5 Show, to be led by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the trade promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry.

Along with Piedra Systems, Inc., Pacific Timber Export Corporation (molded doors and frames, fire rated doors), YYD System Interiors, Inc. (laminated doors and cabinets), TMC International Corporation (marble tiles, slabs, mosaic), Raphael Legacy Designs, Inc. (mosaic, tiles, medallion, table countertop), Gracepark International (wood cabinets, solid wood doors), Sanyo Seiki Stainless Steel Corporation (stainless sheet and pipes), and iCoast (cooling system) will also join the show.

The whole delegation will proceed to Fujairah and Abu Dhabi for a business mission to meet general contractors, property developers and distributors for possible projects/contract arrangements.

The Big 5 Show is the largest annual meeting place for Middle East construction and contracting industry, slated on November 25th to 29th at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

'Our products are known in Japan through a distributor for five years now, and we are hoping to get a bigger market in The Big 5.' said Alan Guzman, Vice President of Piedra.

With the numerous projects going on in Dubai, Piedra Systems is confident that it would get the attention of Middle East buyers. 'Our lightweight stone veneers are tested in accordance with American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) in terms of absorption and compressive strength,' added Guzman.

With the company’s commitment to service and excellence, they conduct continuous research and development to deliver customized colors and textures that would fit its clients’ needs. What made Piedra a reliable source of quality stone veneers can be credited to its years of experience in the marketing of mix-cement reinforcement and production of non-static floor tiles.

The Philippine participation is organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry.
